About Medha

Hi! I'm Medha, and I'm currently a first-year student at UC Berkeley, studying Global Studies. I've been working with kids since the beginning of high school; I tutored local elementary students in math and science comprehension through NHS(National Honors Society) and CSF(California Scholarship Federation). In addition to weekly volunteer tutoring, I was a paid tutor at Kumon Math and Reading Center of Claremont, where I worked with kids aged 3-16 twice a week, and taught them how to develop skills in math, reading, and writing. I've also been volunteering at the Upland Public Library for the last 3 years, organizing reading workshops, and setting up the Summer Reading Challenge, which encourages children from the Upland community to challenge their reading level developing their interest in reading. During this time, I've met and learned so much from the kids I've worked with, and I'm excited to see what this summer has in store!
