About Meaza

My grandmother has been living with me since I was 5 years old. She moved from Ethiopia because she had to get heart surgery and from a very young age I was helping to take care of her. She's had several surgeries afterwards and usually since I'm the one that stays home I was taking care of her. She also suffers from dementia, so making sure she remembers to take her morning and night medications was also something I had to do. My grandfather, who also had many surgeries and struggled with memory loss, I helped take care of him last time I saw him before he passed. All my life, I grew up watching over babies and seniors and I've always enjoyed every minute of it. Seniors are the wisest people on this earth. You never leave a conversation with an elder without learning something new. They have the best stories and the greatest life lessons. That's why I would love to be a senior caregiver.
