About Maylynn

Hi I am Maylynn, a third-year undergraduate at SC studying Engineering. I am passionate about education equity and bring a joyful spirit and strong childhood education research background to childcare. Having served as a tutor, an assistant teacher in a preschool, and a babysitter, I have a wide array of experience with infants, toddlers, children, and pre-teenagers. Providing an emotionally safe environment for children is my top priority. I care about children expressing their creativity, individuality, and needs. I am a strong leader, a nearly full scholarship graduate of an all-girls college prep boarding school, and a first-generation college student. I am bilingual in English and Spanish, a beginner in Chinese. I recently returned from Beijing, China after completing a Chinese intensive language pledge program where I elevated my cross-cultural skills. I am CPR and first aid certified. I bring joy, reliability, strong, communication, and safety to childcare.
