About Maya

Hi Families! My name is Maya and I am from a small town in North California. I moved to San Diego to earn my degree in Biology and Chemistry at the University of San Diego and with the hopes of attending medical school and being a pediatrician in the future! I am currently 23 years old and I have been working as a gymnastics coach, an afterschool teacher and summer camp counselor since I was 15 years old, giving me lots of experience with 2-12-year-olds. I have lots of experience solving conflicts between students and have good and effective communication with parents. Last July I began working as a full-time nanny for a 3-month-old and was with her for 8 months until the family decided to move. It was absolutely my favorite job in the world and I am looking for another family with 1-2 kids to bring me the same amount of joy! I can't wait to do art, go to the playground, go on walks, and eat yummy snacks, etc!
