About Maya

Hi! My name is Maya and I am from Denver, Colorado and I am currently a student at Penn State University! I am 19 years old and I have been babysitting since I was 12. I've cared from children less than 1 up to 14. I love being around kids and I love playing games inside and outside, reading books together, going on walks, etc.. I also have experience watching children who have special needs, as my brother has Down Syndrome so I have learned how to take care of people with special needs my whole life. This past summer I nannied 3 girls from the ages 3-8, I have taught kids under 3 how to swim on swim team from when I was 13, I volunteered at a summer camp where I watched children ages 2-14 for a week for 4 years, and I drove girls in my community to and from dance practices once I got my license. I've learned from these experiences how to be patient and flexible, I've learned so many different kinds of games, and I've learned how much I love spending time with kids!
