About Maya

I'd describe my personality as kind, bubbly, and compassionate. I like working with kids because kids have so much spunk and personality to offer and I love being able to help then grow as well as be a mentor. I started working with kids when I was 15 by volunteering at a occupational therapy facility where I ran a friendship club for children on the spectrum. We taught the kids social skills, and created a safe space for them to just be themselves. Since then I've mostly just babysat family but I would love to work within my community. In my spare time, I like to read, hike, spend time with animals, paint, and I also love baking. One thing you should know about me is that I'm very punctual and take any job given to me very seriously no matter how big or small it may be.
