About Maya

My name is Maya, and I am an experienced educator, tutor, and babysitter. I am also a part-time student myself. I worked at an inclusion school 1:1 with children who have severe special needs. Each class I taught was differentiated for students of any levels of ability. I taught Math, Science, English, History, and Art to students both in a general education program as well as in a special education program. I have worked with children with ASD, ADHD, Down's Syndrome, intellectual and developmental disabilities or neurolodgvergence. I taught students age 5-22. I served as a summer tutor for Middle and High Schoolers. I worked at a pre-school as an assistant teacher with 1 to 5 years old children. I've also babysat for preschool age children. I was a counselor at a summer camp for children with severe special needs (primarily for non-verbal children with ASD and intellectual disability). Let me know if I can be of help!
