I have been working as caregiver for more than 10 years. My jobs consist of assisting and caring for people with Alzheimer's/Dementia, Terminally Ill, Parkinson's, Cancer, HIV, Multiple Sclerosis, Diabetes, Coma, and all major diagnoses in between. I also have been working with people who have Mental, Physical, Emotional, and Developmental challenges such as; Schizophrenia, OCD, Autism, Bipolar, and Respiratory Diseases. I have recently obtained my certification as Certified Nurse Assistant under the state of California. I am also registered as Home Care Aid and Direct Support Professional under the state of California. Some of the requirements, by law, to maintain these types of positions, are to maintain a current CPR CARD, know about HIPAA confidentiality, and know about infection control. My positions also require me to be and act as a mandated reporter which means I have the obligation to report any type of known or suspected abuse to elderly and disabled population.
