About Mauria

I'd describe my personality as upbeat, inflappable, and fun. I like working with kids because they're delightful and fascinating. Seeing things through their eyes is enlightening, and I get so excited for them. Everything is new to them, and they emote and opine so freely on their experience that they're hilarious. I'm looking for a job that would appreciate attention to their child's learning. I love to teach and practice skills like reading and math, and am talented at figuring out where the disconnects are and coming up with bridges to understanding, drills for the foundational skills needed to take the next step, or finding more resources. I started working with kids when I was a teenager! I've always loved them, and have returned to childcare many times since as an enjoyable way to supplement my income. In my spare time, I like to read. My main zones of interest are in medicine, technology, philosophy, education, and geopolitics.
