I became a care giver for an 80-year-old female family member with dementia out of necessity and realized it was my calling. Before that I was a court reporter and a painter. I cared for an 86-year-old man with dementia for past two and a half years and passed in April. I cared for my brother who was in a car accident and in a wheelchair for 25 years.

Maureen took wonderful care of my dad during one of the hardest times in our lives. He had dementia and could become confused and agitated, but she had an amazing way of calming and comforting him with patience and kindness. She took him for rides, shopping, and made sure he still enjoyed life. Most of all, she treated him with genuine love, compassion, and dignity. Our family will always be grateful for the exceptional care she gave my dad. I will never forget her kindness, and I highly recommend her.
