About Maureen

Making a meaningful difference in the lives of adults and seniors has always mattered to me. For 20 years, I've supported their well-being and independence. I spent four years as a nurse before my youngest child was born, and his challenges led me to work with children with special needs in the local school district. That experience was fulfilling and allowed me to help other families. I later moved into life enrichment and became a certified dementia practitioner, building a strong foundation in memory care. I use activities like crafting, light exercise, puzzles, and conversation to engage residents and can adapt them for different abilities. I'm also certified in CPR and First Aid. People describe me as patient, calm, and compassionate. I communicate with families in whatever way works best and have experience de-escalating stressful moments, redirecting attention, and supporting those who feel confused. My goal is always to bring comfort, connection, and joy.
