About Maura

We had the pleasure of Maura caring for Paul for almost a year before he passed away. Finding a caretaker was not an easy task. The thought of having someone coming into his home to care for him was difficult. Who do you get are they qualified, trustworthy? These are all very hard questions. Maura was recommended by a friend of a friend who used her services to care for her family member, so we decided to meet with her, she was very pleasant and kind and seemed very knowledgeable, so we decided to hire her starting out 8 hours a day. Muara went above and beyond what she had to do. While Paul was still getting around, she took him for walks around his property and even took him to run simple errands etc. and to drive around just to get him out of the house for a little. Maura made sure he ate 3 meals a day, did his laundry etc. when Paul`s health declined (Paul had dementia & Alzheimer’s) we had to make a decision of what to do, since Paul lived by himself and he was at the point where he needed 24-hour care. We tried to find someone to come in and cover at night when Maura was done her shift, that turned out to be practically impossible. Maura graciously offered to take that shift too, so she basically moved in 24hrs a day to care for him. What a relief it was to know that you have someone you can trust to care for your loved one. Maura is very knowledgeable regarding dementia/ Alzheimer’s patients, and we trusted her wholeheartedly and respected her opinions & what should be done in regard to Paul’s Care. She Knew when it was time to have the Hospice nurses come in and we could not have asked for anything more. We absolutely love her and highly recommend her to anyone who needs part time or full-time care for their loved one. Sincerely, Lisa & John
