About Mattie

Hi everyone :) My name is Mattie and while I am new to AVL, I am not new to all things caregiving, and I mean (almost) all things caregiving! I have a deep passion for supporting caregivers and families when they need it the most -- need a self-care day? I got you! Have an appointment? Something at work came up? Date night? You know who to call. With over 10 years of direct childcare experience in households, schools, and both inpatient and outpatient pediatric behavioral health settings, I am not just confident in the care I provide, but truly enjoy working with families in an array of ways. A little bit more about me and why I'm here: I am currently pursuing LCSWA licensure here in NC and am looking to work with families because I do not plan on doing child therapy (just yet) but cannot imagine a world where I'm not working with kids in some capacity!
