About Matthew

Hi, my name is Matt! I recently completed my first year of teaching and have earned a Master of Arts in Teaching at Lewis and Clark Grad School. I spent the 19/20 school year student teaching, in-person and remote learning, social studies with 7th/8th-grade students in Oregon. I spent the year after that teaching student pods through covid and finally landed my first gig as a 6th-grade teacher. Following my first year, I moved closer to home in the Midwest and am now substitute teaching across the Columbus area. Some past experience includes volunteering as a mentor with Big Brother Big Sister alongside a student during his 5th-7th grades. I'm interested in tutoring with students or providing support to their academic experience.
