About Matthew

I'd describe my personality as kind, assertive, and inquisitive. I like working with kids because I admire the innocent curiosity of children. As some who loves learning about everything, I love to see this passion for learning about the world in the next generation. I am a college student who studies at Northeastern University in Boston. I am looking for a job that keeps me engaged and active over the summer. I started working with kids when I was 16 as a volunteer at the New Albany Library. I worked with kids in grades 3-7 to help them complete assignments and understand any concepts that they struggled with. In my spare time, I like to read, watch soccer, write computer programs, and spend time with friends. One thing you should know about me is I am always willing to learn and adapt to new situations. I am a fast learner and catch on very quickly! My best traits regarding child care include effective communication, patience/understanding, and positive discipline.
