Do you or your child struggle with reading? Have you tried other approaches that don't seem to be working? To teach reading, I use a Speech-to-Print, Structured Linguistic Literacy approach. This systematic and explicit approach starts with the sounds that you already use in your spoken language, and maps them onto the words we use in our written language when we read and write. Progress towards proficiency tends to move quickly, as we build on learners spoken language strengths. In addition to Montessori training, I have undergraduate and graduate degrees in history and in adult education. I am currently working on my certification as an Evidence Based Literacy Instructor.
