I hold certificates in General/Special Education on the Elementary level, a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and have my Masters of Science for Literacy. Before becoming a teacher, I volunteered at Camp Anchor, which is a camp for children and adults with special needs, worked as a counselor for the Hofstra Reach Program, and worked as a soccer coach for Special Olympics. I have experience working with children, teenagers, and adults with diagnoses such as: Down Syndrome, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Cerebral Palsy, Muscular Dystrophy, Muscular Atrophy, and various learning disabilities. I absolutely love working with children and would love any opportunity to fulfill this!
