About Mary

Hello! My name is MC and I have ADHD. While that may not be what you want to hear from your child's tutor, growing up with ADHD gives me unique skills that can help any child -- especially those with attention or behavioral struggles -- succeed in and outside of the classroom. I have degree in communications and a minor in ancient languages from the University of Tennessee. Currently, I am pursuing a graduate degree in journalism from the University of Memphis. By day, I work as a professional grant editor and public relations coordinator for a university research program. I have extensive experience in tutoring all ages, and have proven experience in increasing TCAP and ACT scores through tailored, thoughtful teaching methods. I struggled with ADHD throughout my childhood, so my overall goal is to make sure no child ever feels like they can't succeed because of their own mind. Turning struggles into superpowers and changing mindsets about schoolwork is my passion!
