About Mary Kate

I am currently an at home mom to my beautiful 4-year-old son. I'm looking to take on part time, in home childcare to earn a little extra income, as well as give my guy more social time with another one kiddo. He is sweet and gentle, and gets along famously with just about everyone he's ever met! I have quite a bit of experience with children: as mentioned I'm a mother myself; I am an aunt to lots of nieces and nephews, the oldest of which I nannied when she was an infant; I grew up as an older sibling to 4 younger brothers; and I used to be an elementary school art teacher. More recently I worked in campus ministry and then as a hospital chaplain for 5 years. Both of these roles demanded relevant caregiving skills like empathy, nurturing, creativity and patience.
