My name is Mary Kate, I am a 22-year-old part time student at West Chester University. I am currently a Social Work major with a minor in art. I would like to become an art therapist because I love to help kids use art as a means of creative expression. I am CPR/ First aid certified and I work part time as a teacher's assistant in a kindergarten special needs classroom. I have about three years of babysitting experience with a family of three kids. I would always cook dinner and help them with their daily responsibilities. But I also made sure the kids were having fun by bringing over arts and crafts. I was also a part of a "High School Hero's" volunteer program at Spring-Ford High School where I taught young kids how to read and write.
