About Marykate

I grew up on Long Island and now live in Brooklyn with my fiancé. I am a middle school teacher and have been teaching now for 11 years. In my spare time, I like to travel (34 countries so far)! I lift weights, sing, and enjoy watching documentaries. I started babysitting my 3 younger brothers and many cousins when I was a young teenager. When I was in my 20's, I helped to raise my two nieces and spend as much time as I can with them now. I absolutely love being around children, caring for them, laughing with them, and just overall making memories and showing them the world. I'd describe my personality as open-minded, empathetic, responsible, compassionate, and flexible. Children are the innocent minds of this crazy world we live in. They still see the world for what it should be and I've always loved that. I love making them laugh, giving them memories, and teaching them about the world.
