We met Mary 2 years ago and she has been watching our kiddos for the last 15+ months. She was referred to us by her husband, and it was an instant love connection between her and our children (ages 2 and 8). During emergency situations, she has picked our children up from school, as well as watched them overnight so that I could stay the night with my spouse at the hospital. She's not the typical sitter that stays inside all day with the kids. She has taken my daughter to get her nails done, taken them to the park, and arranged play dates with other children their ages... & of course this was discussed prior to doing any of the things just listed. I enjoyed the fact that our son, the oldest, would request to go to her home because he enjoyed doing Art with her. I could never refer to her as a sitter because she isn't that to us, she's family!! We were sad to hear that she and her husband were relocating but also realized that it was time for her to blessing to another amazing family!
