I have been a caregiver for 10+ years. I also have been cleaning homes for over 30 years. I have worked the past two years as a house assistant, including outdoor gardening. I love the outdoors and staying physically active. I like care giving because it is more personal one on one. I have a heart of compassion for those that need everyday assistance, and anything related to domestic household duties or errands. I loved the elderly lady I worked for. Mary came to my house last week and stayed here a half an hour. She appeared very nice and told me that she can come and see me on Tuesdays from 9:30 to 11:30.Everything was fine. She said Tuesdays were fine. It just seemed like she would arrive next Tuesday. All of a sudden I get a message this morning which said “ sorry, my schedule is all booked!” she should have told me last week that her schedule was booked . Last week she had the time, today she didn’t!!. I think she changed her mind in between and she should’ve Have told me last week that she could be here on the hours she agreed upon. i gave up 2 other candidates because I assumed she would come here as she told me she would! I think it was very inconsiderate of her. She never worked for me, But from what she did to me by cancelling she is Not a very re For aDisabled person! counting on someone, is extremely important. Now I have to start all over again!
