For the past seven years, I have been a Children's Librarian for a public library in Texas. I am seeking evening and weekend tutoring jobs to supplement my income. I am passionate about early literacy for ages 0-5 as well as getting kids excited about reading. I have been a paid tutor for 3 elementary-aged students in mathematics, reading, and language arts. Additionally, I was a Guest Teacher (substitute) for the Clark County School District for almost 2 years. I have a Master's Degree in Information Studies (librarianship) and a Bachelor's Degree in Linguistics. I would be able to tutor children in beginning Spanish and beginning German, however I am not fluent in these languages yet. I am passionate about education in general, and I strongly believe that all children benefit from one-on-one instruction in addition to their regular classroom time.
