About Mary Ellen

I'd describe my personality as compassionate, kind, creative and curious. I like caring for seniors because I enjoy improving living conditions for others, therapeutic listening, and being a companion to someone who may be lonely and has so much yet to give! I cared for my mother the last year of her life and found that the experience was very rewarding. I'm looking for a job that is part time, either a portion of each day five days a week or full days 8-4 or 9-5 for 2-3 days per week. I prefer something close by in Franklin. I started caring for seniors when in nursing school and as an RN. I provided care for my mother and for a housecleaning client. In my spare time I like to garden, read, sew, draw and/or paint, exercise and ballroom dance. One thing you should know about me is I am compassionate and a hard worker. I am a retired psych RN. My skills include knowledge of medical and mental health issues. I am experienced with personal care. I am an excellent driver.
