About Mary Cate

Hello, thank you for taking the time to review my profile and qualifications! I graduated with honors from West Chester University where I earned a degree in Elementary Education and Theater. I hold three Pennsylvania Teacher Certifications in Grades PreK-6 and 7-8 Social Studies. I have more than six combined years of experience as an elementary teacher and substitute teacher in public and private schools. I have experience teaching and tutoring in-person and via virtual platforms across many grade levels. My areas of strength include organization and study skills; reading comprehension, accuracy, and running records; elementary and middle school math; and social studies for all grades. Each tutoring session will be filled with active learning, personalized strategies, and positive reinforcement. After each session, you will receive a progress report. I frequently monitor growth and areas of improvement. I continuously adapt lessons, materials, and strategies.
