I have preschool through sixth grade teaching certification in Massachusetts. I taught fourth and fifth grade for 10 years. I also helped to teach my four children how to read. I love to see how children progress. I enjoy the wonderment they feel when it "clicks" and they learn how to put it all together. My boys love math and have been good at it since an early age. My daughter enjoys it now, too, once she figured it all out. I enjoy helping them use strategies to figure out word problems. They are all at different levels now, which I really like. My children help to keep my skills sharp for teaching all different levels.

We have known Mary for little more than an year now. She tutors our two kids (9 & 5 yrs old). She has established an excellent teacher-student relationship with both of them. Our kids love working with her and look forward to the tutoring sessions. Mary has all the virtues required to work with/tutor kids such as, patience, perseverance, kind-heart, wisdom, reserve, etc. Our kids have benefited a lot from tutoring they received from Mary in terms and academic and growth in general. We highly recommend Mary to someone who is looking for a tutor for children.
