About Mary Anne

I love working with children - reading to them, talking with them, playing with them, teaching them, and nurturing them. I have home schooled my two children (one of whom has special needs) and have babysat for other people's infants and children since I was a teenager up to now. Currently, the children I am babysitting for range in age from 9 months to 12 years old. I have worked with kids in many different settings including: teaching crafts in home school co-ops to 1st through 12th graders; working as a classroom aide in a nursery school for the 3-year-old class; teaching a 5-year-old Sunday school class; and working with teens as an Associate Staff Member for a high school Youth for Christ Club. I have been trained in CPR for infants, children, and adults. I am a very patient, caring, and responsible adult. I love to encourage people to enjoy life. I have recently taken the EMT course at the Delaware State Fire School and have passed the National EMS Certification test. I am also a substitute school bus monitor for Cape Henlopen School District for special needs children, as well as a substitute paraprofessional (teacher's aide) and substitute Service Aide for that school district. These jobs are very sparse and can be taken or turned down to fit my work schedule.
