About Maryam

Hello, my name is Maryam. I have a variety of experience working with kids. From a young age, I obtained first hand experience in childcare as I cared for and watched over my two younger sisters from birth. I was responsible for overseeing schoolwork completion, homework questions, prepping for the next school day, administering medicine on time, and safety monitoring. My youngest sister is on the autism spectrum so I had first hand experience with that as well. I believe I was entrusted with this because of my natural nurturing spirit. In high school, I mentored and tutored my peers for two years as a member of the National Honor Society. I graduated and traveled to Tennessee to pursue my degree. Since then, I have started teaching yoga and meditation to kids and adults. I have worked with Brillant Detroit teaching kids from ages 5-7 stretching. I have worked with Pure Heart Foundation teaching kids ranging from ages 6-9 about mindfulness. I am passionate about being able to help.
