About Martina

I'm currently a Medical Assistant at UVA Hospital with three years of experience caring for children of all ages. My passion for childcare stems from my positive experiences in previous babysitting roles. I am dedicated to supporting families and providing a reliable care option for them. I pride myself on being calm, patient, and approachable, which allows me to easily connect with the children in my care. I believe that effective communication is key, so I ensure regular updates to parents about their child's day, either through verbal communication at pickup or via text or phone calls. Regarding household rules, I follow the parents' lead and ensure they are consistently enforced. I enjoy playing a variety of games with children, including outdoor sports, board games, puzzles, and educational games that promote learning. I have some college education and am comfortable caring for up to three children at a time. I speak English and have a car, so transportation is not an issue.
