I am interested in acting as a caregiver for not only children, but as a companion and helper to seniors. Having raised 2 grown boys, I'm dedicated to fostering children's growth & development. My friendly & patient nature creates a nurturing environment where children feel safe & supported. I prioritize open communication with parents, ensuring they're informed about their child's day & any issues that arise. I adapt to their preferred communication method, whether it's verbal updates at pickup or regular text messages or phone calls. With a graduate degree in education & certification / over 12 yrs as a middle school science teacher, I bring a wealth of knowledge, a good sense of humor, and expertise. I'm comfortable caring for up to four children, ranging from toddlers to preteens. My approach to care involves getting to know the child's interests! I enjoy playing board games & puzzles with children, as well as educational games.
