Hi! My name is Martha. I live in Pico rivera. I have 10 years of experience working with newborns, Toddlers, and young kids. I am caring honest and responsible. I am experienced and enthusiastic nanny who loves childcare. I am fun outgoing energetic nanny. Also I am a mother of three kids who are adults now that has given me plenty of experience. I adore children and would provide loving care for them.

When we interviewed Martha, she explained to us that she had extensive experience taking care of toddlers and presented us with a glowing resume and 2 written recommendation letters, which we did not confirm or contact the people who wrote them. So we can't speak to the validity of those letters. Unfortunately, when she started working with us, we noticed the following: 1. She lacked experience and truly did not know how to take care of a toddler. 2. When we needed to take our child in the car and Martha was coming with us, I asked from her if she could put my child in the car seat and to buckle him up. Luckily I went back to check he was bucked correctly. To my shocking surprise, she did not know that the car seat 5 point harness needed to be fastened. So I had to educate on the car seat safety and show her how it was done. 3. When taking care of our toddler she really did not know how to engage him and play with him. All she did was have him watch TV. 4. She absolutely did not know how to prepare his meals. I has to walk her through that. 5. And the most critical issue, was that she was not focused on the child safety. I witnessed her leaving him on the changing table to grab something, and was not attentive to him at all when he was trying to walk which he has just started and was still wobbly. Given all these issues, I was willing to train Martha because she seemed nice and easy going. That said, when she decided not to come back, she waited until about 10min after her routine arrival time to tell us she found another family to work with which was very unprofessional. She intentionally did not inform us she was not coming until passed her arrival time so that we are in trouble or scramble in finding help with having her there. Which actually was not the case at all. We had another nanny that was more than happy to jump in and come work with us. She turned out to be a whole lot more experienced that Martha. The one thing that she did well was cleaning the kitchen. It was when Martha cleaned the dishes and kept the kitchen clean. So if you do end up hiring her, you need to train her in basic things to care for a child and their safety, and you will need to have plan B ready at all times because she's the type of person that will intentionally try to leave you hanging dry.
