I studied in Colombia, I have a Master's Degree in Childhood and Special Education, which I achieved in Colombia. I worked in Education in Colombia for 30 years, prior to retiring. I then moved to the United States with the goal of work with families with young children. I have held several long term jobs in the United States; most recent post was with a family in Westfield, NJ who have a 5-year-old girl and a 3-year-old boy who now goes to daycare. I have been caring for the children since the little boy was 8 months old. I enjoy working with children. I also enjoy contributing to maintaining a household that is clean and safe for the children and am willing and able to perform light cleaning duties. I am also an experienced cook and am willing and able to cook family meals as needed. I have a driver's license and am willing and able to drive short distances to pick children up at school or activities.

Martha has been working with our family since early 2021. We initially found her on Care.com when we were looking for a nanny for our puppy, West, who is rarely left alone (yes, we have a sitter for our dog). Right away we loved her and she has been working with us regularly (at least 1-2 times per week) since then. We trust her with caring for our (now two) dogs, caring for our home when we travel, assisting us when we’re entertaining, and with housekeeping. If we had a human child of our own, I can say with 100% certainty she would be working with us full-time. She is a grandmother, an educated and well mannered former school administrator, she is always (without exception) punctual and reliable, and is very sweet and always looking for ways to take care of us. Any family would be lucky to have Martha in their lives. I am happy to provide references. - Danielle
