About Martha

December 15, 2014 To Whom It May Concern: It is my privilege to recommend Martha as a caregiver. I live in Illinois, yet my aunt lived in LaJolla, California for many years until her recent passing in August 2014 (she was in her 90's). I kept "an eye" on her finances, did her taxes, and after she passed became executor of her estate as well as Primary Trustee of her Trust. My aunt had no children and after her husband passed in 2004 was without any relatives in the area. About 9 years ago, my aunt told me she had found a nice person that would go get groceries and medications for her and otherwise take care of her. This person was Martha. Martha took wonderful care of my aunt at home and was there when needed due to her many medical problems. She even took her to doctor's appointments and to the Emergency Room on several occasions for the inevitable falls some seem to have. That made my aunt very happy and was a blessing to the entire family. Martha is extremely compassionate and completely trustworthy. My Aunt would give Martha blank checks to pay for the groceries and medication she would pickup, and there was never an issue with that. When my aunt had a stroke in January of 2014, I got to know Martha personally during my many visits to LaJolla as I had to take over my aunt's affairs. Living in Illinois, it was a wonderful comfort to me to have someone in LaJolla that I could trust and count on to keep an eye on things between my visits. Martha would visit my aunt in the nursing home and assisted living facility and keep me updated with phone calls and photos. She also assisted with the usual daily activities and tasks as needed. I feel confident that Martha will perform in any care-giving position with the same dedication and caring that she demonstrated towards my aunt for nearly 10 years.
