I'm an RN and experienced caregiver. I work currently as private nurse in Ocean View at Cumberland Crossing and have been a caregiver there to a 93-year-old and and her dog for over 1/1/2 years. Duties include: light house cleaning, grocery shopping, gardening, plants and animal care, walks and outings, med management, driver to outings including the doctor, movies, fairs, horse therapy, coordinating schedules with therapists and the family. My senior care experience includes several years I dedicated full-time to my mother while she was in her 90s. Though she had dementia she was conversant and led a full and active life at home to 95 because I used my skills to keep her safe at home by working with other caregivers including hospice nurses for 2 years. I love dogs, cats, and have owned horses.

Martha has been great at seeing what needs to be done to keep my mother safe and getting her out in the world. My mother would tend to stay home even though she is, by nature, very social. Martha is very reliable and has been very willing to work with us on schedules even though it can get rather complex. I feel much better knowing that she is keeping an eye on my mother since I live out of state.
