About Marni

While most of my experience has involved caring for infants and children, I love my time with seniors equally well. For three months last summer, I had a temporary assignment as Enrichment Coordinator for a retirement community and absolutely loved my seniors. During my time there, I planned daily entertainment, special events and activities to include social, creative, emotional, physical and cognitive needs. I also worked with people who had issues with mobility, depression and memory. Additionally, for the teaching practicum of my master's program in creative writing, I headed up a six-week memoir writing workshop at another retirement community, which went over wonderfully. In fact, after my time ended there, my six "students" continued the workshop on their own!
