About Marlys

I was a biology for two years in high school, worked with freshman, graded assignments and privately tutored students who needed help. I've had a lot of my students express their appreciation of my patience and clarity when explaining difficult concepts, and willingness to alter my style to match their needs. I also volunteered as a virtual tutor for Keystone Mentorship during remote learning (2020-2021), in which I worked one-on-one with a student, one hour per week on 8th grade science and geometry. My past coursework includes AP Chemistry, AP Biology, AP US History, Honors Spanish, AP Government and Economics, and AP Calculus AB/BC, Geometry, Algebra I/II and Trigonometry. Most of my experience is in science and math tutoring, however I am also proficient in college-level writing and am well equipped to tutor in that area as well.
