About Marlo

I have years of experience caring for all ages of children. I have two children of my own that are now 24yrs and 8yrs. Not only do I have experience caring for my children I've also worked with several families over the years caring for their children. Age ranges newborn to teen. Most recently I have been working for a family with three children. Ages 14, 5 and 18 months. I've been with them for almost three years. The reason for me leaving is the mother has decided to stay home full time so nanny services will no longer be needed. I enjoy a variety of ages for various reasons. Caring and cradling the little ones, teaching and watching toddlers to pre-K, listening and helping the older children. Being there for whatever they may need. I can transport to activities, run errands, cook, etc. I love the outdoors so the park or even just the backyard is nice. Marla is a truly wonderful caregiver! We hired her as a part time nanny and she has done an exceptional job with our kids who are 4 and 1.5 years old. I love that Marla really knows how to "level with" our 4 year old, who can be very stubborn. She does a great job explaining things to him and helping him understand concepts, and reasons why he is not allowed to do certain things. Marla also finds magical ways to get him to do things like voluntarily eat his vegetables, which even my husband and I struggle with. Marla really interacts with both kids. She engages them in a variety of activities, whether that's dancing to music together, or reading books at the library, or going to the playground. And of course, Marla treats their safety as the most important thing - we expect this in any caregiver but I know that Marla prioritizes it and I don't take it for granted! She is a good communicator and very thoughtful. We feel very lucky to have Marla working with our family!
