About Marlia

I have a lot of experience caring for infants-5 years old. I was a Child Development major at Ball State University for 2 years. This allowed me to work in the Child Study Center (a nationally accredited center)on campus in the Infant/Toddler and Preschool classrooms as a lab student. I then continued my work and studies as a practicum student in the Infant/Toddler classroom. During that time I created developmentally appropriate activities and lesson plans, did observations and assessments on the children, made snack, and worked on NAEYC accrediting requirements. I am a volunteer under a Child Life Specialist at Riley Children's Hospital. I was recently employed at an in-home daycare, Smarty Pants Childcare. I am certified in Pediatric First Aid and CPR. I am now a student at Butler University studying Psychology and my goal is to become a Child Life Specialist.
