About Marlen

Hi! I'm currently a 5th grade dual language teacher in LISD as well as a nanny to a 4-month-old baby. I am leaving teaching at the end of the school year to dedicate my time as a full time nanny. Ideally, I'd love to work with a family who is looking to build a long term connection. I have 4 years of teaching experience, including a year teaching English abroad. Before that, I worked as an infants and toddlers teacher at a daycare, nannied, and tutored for about 8 years. I have experience with kids as little as newborns, up to school aged. I also have 3 years of healthcare experience, working in a nursing home and at St. David's as a certified nurse assistant. I'm comfortable with medical and safety needs, your child's safety is always my priority. I'm currently working towards getting a newborn care specialist and infant sleeping consultant certification. I'm patient, caring, and love all animals. I'd love to support your family however you need!
