About Marla

Hi, I'm Marla! I'm a 31-year-old childcare professional with over 10 years of experience caring for children ages 2 months to 17 years. I'm passionate about creating safe, nurturing, and fun environments where children feel supported and encouraged to grow. I earned my B. A. in Sociology from UC Santa Barbara and have worked as an after-school program leader, health educator for teens, and currently as a case manager supporting unaccompanied minors. I've also completed child development courses and bring a patient, attentive, and adaptable approach to childcare. I'm fluent in English and Spanish and can help with homework, meal prep, light housekeeping, and transportation. I have a clean driving record, my own insured vehicle, and I'm comfortable with pets, especially dogs! I'm available for part-time or full-time care Monday-Friday, as well as occasional weekends for date nights, errands, or extra support. I'd love to become a trusted and dependable caregiver for your family!
