About Marjorie

As the mother of 2 young adults on the autism spectrum, I have significant experience with visual learning strategies and technologies, as well as applied behavior analysis, discrete trial learning, and individualized education plans. My experience includes: - tutoring a neurotypical middle-school child in math and writing; - homeschooling 1 of my own children grades 2 through 12; - teaching a high-schooler with autism how to cook and meal plan before he goes off to college; - assisting a young woman with Down's Syndrome to cook and prep food on her meal plan. I believe that cultivating trust and a 2-way dialogue is essential. Respecting each family's values and approach is critically important. One of the greatest gifts is seeing others enjoy learning!
