About Maristella

Coming out of retirement as an accountant, I've reverted to my first love: the piano. I started piano lessons at 5, and continued my studies despite pursuing a totally different field. I also enrolled in music education classes to bolster my music theory knowledge. I studied under renowned piano professionals in the Philippines. My mother, now deceased, was a professional piano teacher. I would usually substitute for her when she was not available to teach her students. Currently I have 5 students, ranging from 6 to 13 years old, and am proud to say that they've come a long way and are eager for more. With technological advancements in music, I am willing to try online teaching through online. I belong to the old school though, teaching one-on-one, for 1 hour every week. I use the John Thompson's Modern Course for the piano for my students' technical and musical progression. I am hoping you will give me the opportunity to share my skills in piano education.
