About Marissa

I'd describe my personality as creative, nurturing, and bubbly. I like working with kids because they have the best imaginations! I love to help kids learn how to use their strengths to make life enjoyable. I'm looking for a job where I can help kids make the most of their summer. I believe there are many ways to learn new things AND have fun at the same time. I started working with kids when I was 12 years old as a volunteer. When I was 15 years old, I started taking paid jobs baby sitting and nanny-ing. This past year, I began working as a Exceptional Children's Teacher in an elementary school, where I provided extra support to help kids excel in Math, Reading, and Writing in school. One thing you should know about me: I will not just sit around and let kids sit in front of a screen all day! I am passionate about movement and and learning to find enjoyment in the present. My focus is education, creativity, and movement.
