About Marisol

Had an initial phone screen with Marisol, which went great. I was impressed with her experience, she had a great personality, and seemed to be responsible. Both Marisol and I were interested in moving forward in the process, and she wanted to do a home visit to meet us and give a proper estimate. Our initial call was on a Thursday, and we set up time to meet that following Monday. I had to cancel due to an unexpected work emergency, apologized, and let Marisol know 24 hours in advance that we'd need to postpone. We rescheduled for the following Sunday, Marisol suggested 2p, and we agreed. Although my husband and I had plans for that day, we moved them around to accommodate Marisol (also because we canceled initially ourselves and wanted to be mindful of that). At 1:30p, I texted Marisol to let her know that we were looking forward to meeting her, and to please call if she had any issues finding our home. I received no response, so assumed she was on her way. 2pm came and went, we heard nothing from Marisol. It would not have been a problem if she were running behind, and had communicated that. At 2:35p, I texted her to let her know that we'd no longer be considering her for the role due to her not letting us know that she'd be late (or not coming at all). Highly unprofessional - not the kind of person I'd consider allowing in our home and trusting with our things if she can't even respect our time with a text/phone call. Even if she said, "I'm no longer interested," I'd have thanked her for her transparency and moved on.
