About Marisa

Hi! My name is Marisa, and I have been a Special Education teacher for 7 years. I received my Masters Degree in Education from Penn State in 2024, and graduated from Seton Hall in 2017 with my B. S. E. in Elementary Education and Environmental Studies. I have been teaching 4th Grade Special Education for the past 7 years and am trained in Phonics programs (Orton Gillingham) and specialized multi-sensory math programs. I also have experience supporting a range of behaviors in elementary school children. I am dynamic and outgoing individual who enjoys taking care of children. I have babysat for children ranging from ages 1 to 12 and have taught in a 2nd grade and 4th grade setting. Hobbies include baking/cooking, crafts, staying active, and taking my dog for long walks.
