I'm a retired elementary, kindergarten, and nursery school teacher with a BS degree in education. My elder and invalid care experience is varied , some with church friends, aging grandparent and parents caregiver. I cared for my mother in my home the last 10 years of her life. Transportation to appointments, errands, and daily personal care, including meals, hygiene, and whatever she needed were my priority. She passed peacefully at 92 in my home with family around her, and support from our local hospice unit.
