I have been teaching reading and writing to 12th graders at an inner city high school for the past 17 years. During this time I tutored many students outside the classroom specifically on essay writing and editing papers teaching students how to become more effective writers. I have helped many students with their personal essays for college. I have also taught students reading strategies to help them better understand literature and young adult novels while helping them write essays about these readings.
