Mariela took care of my mom when she was in her late 80’s and living with us. My mom had dementia and Mariela was amazing with her as a companion and caregiver. She became almost like a family member and infact once when I had to leave suddenly for an emergency out of town, Mariela stepped in and stayed home with my mom for 7 days at a moment’s notice. She would take my mom for outings to the park or library or the Senior Center as well. She left us when she was about to have a baby otherwise we would have loved to have her stay on.
