Marie was a wonderful support to our family during a major transition, as we welcomed our newborn while caring for our toddler. She went above and beyond to keep him active and proactively engaged in activities that supported his gross motor development. She also handled tantrums with patience, dignity, and respect. One of her biggest accomplishments was helping him successfully become potty trained through a patient, consistent, and positive approach. We’re very grateful for the care and support she provided our family and would recommend her to other families.

We highly recommend Marie. She has been working with us for 4 years now; she started with us in early 2022 when our son and daughter had just turned 3 and 1 year- old. She has worked with us part-time during this entire period, roughly 6-20 hours per month. 

Marie is one of the most energetic and enthusiastic people I have met. She enters our house ready to greet, hug, and play with the kids. She is always prepared with a plan and an activity, but can be flexible and let the children lead as well. Often she has a bag of arts and craft projects packed with her, but she also makes sure the kids get time outside and will take them to the playground or on a hike. 

Marie has been loving and attentive to our children, and has spent a lot of effort getting to know them and honor their particular interests, talents, and dispositions. She remembers them on their birthdays, caters her plans and projects to their interests, and often brings library books on the topics of their choice.

Marie brings decades of experience, and we see it and benefit from it. She can redirect a stubborn 3-year-old, and work with them to achieve what sometimes feels like the impossible, whether leaving the playground, getting a picky eater to eat broccoli, or having them bathed and in bed on time. She can handle a melt-down, and understand when to give a child a little space to reset, and how to refocus their attention on something else to avoid a conflict. 

Another beautiful trait that Marie-aude carries is her punctuality and responsibility. She has never been late – in fact, she often arrives early to prepare car seats or snacks for the children. She follows a schedule and sticks to it, all while weaving in warmth and loving care. We trust her fully with caring for our children and our home. 

Our children are now 7 and 5, and ask us when Marie is coming next. They love their days with her – she brings love, care, excitement, and a continuity and commitment that we feel so grateful for, since we don’t have family nearby. Marie has treated our children like family, and we hope to continue this relationship with her. We couldn’t recommend her more. 

I met Marie while she was at a playground nannying. I was there with my kids. Marie's attentiveness and warmth were noticeable immediately. My husband and I were new to Marin county with three little ones and no local contacts, so I asked for Marie's contact information, and soon after she began nanny for our kids!

Marie was a fantastic nanny for our twin 3 month old boys. She helped us out at a time when we thought we were never going to find a nanny who cares. She genuinely cared about our twins.  She has excellent skills, is very knowledgeable, has great communication, asks the right questions, and likes to be busy. It's hard to find nannies who understand how to anticipate your needs and are willing to help out with other things when there is down time, but who also know that your kids are their priority. Marie was all of the above and we are sad she is not working in our geography any longer.

We interviewed Marie for our nanny position and were so impressed by her experience, qualifications, and dedication to caring for children! She has wonderful ideas about activities for children, and is extremely professional.  It is clear that Marie would be a wonderful nanny for any family and would be excellent for a child's development. We are so glad to have met Marie and hope to work with her in the future!

Marie is an energetic, hands-on person, always armed with an idea and materials to make it happen. She plans in advance for each visit with our son. She is aware of all the ways families do things differently and likes to accommodate our preferences, as well as those of our three-year-old.  She anticipates potential issues that will arise. I appreciate that she is happy to show television to our son if we want that, but that her default is to not do so and save it as an activity for tired parents. Another area she promotes is nutrition--she has taken classes in this area.

Also, Marie is a great French teacher. Our son attends a French-immersion school but has resisted speaking it with us. After just two visits from Marie, he has come out of his shell and now wants to speak it. She has helped me with my French, too.

She is absolutely trustworthy and I recommend her for everyone!

My daughters LOVE Marie!! She is fun, fun, fun!  Both of my daughters French blossomed with Marie. I love listening to them giggling and chatting in French. Marie always has an adventure planned they cook, bake, garden, art projects, bike rides, nature hikes and lots of other play in nature. We are fortunate to have Marie twice a week but my girls would want her to spend everyday with us. Marie is a gem.

I worked with Marie for over a year for my then 2 year old twins. She was an excellent nanny with boundless love and energy for my children. They did a lot of fun arts and crafts projects and explored many local kid friendly sites. I highly recommend Marie!

Marie is an outstanding nanny and we were lucky to have her as a nanny for our 2 children for about 2.5 years (approx 2009-2011). She took care of our 3 year old boy and eventually our newborn girl. We still keep in touch, and we would not hesitate to hire her again anytime! Marie is excellent with children, and able to engage with them at their own level. She is dependable, punctual, responsible and hard-working. I felt completely comfortable leaving my children with her the entire day, while being away at work. She took my son to local parks and library, and did lots of board games and arts-and-crafts with him. She took excellent care of our newborn, in terms of feeding, naps, and age-appropriate activities. She was able to handle both children without any problems including transportation in her car. Our children still remember her fondly, as she has visited over the years, and love to spend time with her and especially play board games with her :) She is truly a gem!

Very dedicated yet fun for the kids, Marie is the kind of nanny that always arrives on time and with craft activities for the kids! She's very dependable and has become a part of our family. The kids ask for her again and again.

It's a great pleasure to recommend Marie. She joined our family when our son was 5 months old and was caring for him for over 2 years. She bonded with our son very quickly and it made us feel easier to leave for work knowing that our son is in loving and caring hands. Marie is an amazing nanny and human. She is incredibly loving, thoughtful, intelligent and a great communicator. If you have the opportunity to hire Marie, DO IT! She was always on time and loved my baby like her own. I knew I could trust her to care for my baby and engage her in developmentally appropriate play. She was also considerate of me and my partner. We all adored her. She did a great job of anticipating what the baby might need and preparing appropriately. Nannying for Marie is not just a job, she became part of the family. She set such a high bar I don't think anyone else can come close.

Marie is a superwoman baby-whisperer. I hired her to watch two infants during a reunion, and not only did she beautifully manage the two babies (one of whom was sick no less), she also helped the other sitters with a group of rambunctious 2-year-olds. She is kind, communicative, knowledgeable, and fun... everything you'd want in a baby sitter!
